My definition of awesome is "Working At Identity Island." My main role in the business is working as a web developer, however I also enjoy switching out hats and working as a 3D artist from time to time. In my free time, I enjoy writing, playing, and recording music with my band, playing ultimate (a.k.a. the best sport ever), and practicing landing safely from high altitudes without the aid of a parachute.

The Future of Video Resolution

Insights

If you do any kind of video shooting, editing, or even YouTube watching, you are probably familiar with the infamous 1080p. 1920 x 1080 is the standard in the film industry and is accepted as professional quality. But for how long will this be true? There are many things in the world of technology that could easily put 1080p in the past with the many other forgotten "revolutions" that seemed unmatchable in their time. There will never be a time in which video, design and other like industries will stop advancing and settle into one place for the rest of eternity. As far as 1080p goes right now, there are already ways to capture 4k, even 5k video. While right now, the standard does remain at 1080p, there is so much room for improvement in the near future.

A Brand New... Brand

Finally. Our new site is complete and work is underway. We're Identity Island, a branding hub for your entity's visual profile. We're excited to start this new endeavor and we're ready to get to work, so check out our services to see what we can do for you. For the past few months, we have been getting things ready for our business refresh, if you will. Formerly Aestuo Design, we changed our name and changed ourselves... kind of. Our name, Identity Island, replaces the old Aestuo Design, for a very important reason: claim your prize if you can remember what our old name was. The point is, nobody can remember, much less spell the name Aestuo, which hurts us big time. Along with the name change, we also updated our services and our brand, working to become a more comprehensive and accommodating firm.
